5 Very Unique Wines
Wine Sense held our Selection Limited Edition Staff Pre-Tasting this past Sunday at The Food Studio on Roblin Blvd. It’s our chance for staff and spouses to get a sneak preview of this year’s wines. The event is of course both educational and fun (it’s a great business we’re in) and gives us the proper insight to be able to recommend the wines that best suite your needs.
There was plenty of tasting and discussion!
If there is one word to describe this year’s Limited Edition wines it would have to be “unique”. Each of the five wines truley offer something unique for the winemaker. Let’s take a quick look at why…
-The Australilan Shiraz/Viognier is a blend of a Red grape and a White grape.
–Pacifica White is a 1st time proprietory blend of Semillon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier from 4 different Pacific growing regions.
-Also known as the ‘Original Zin’, Italian Primitivo has a fascinating history and is a wonderful food wine.
-The Gruner Veltliner is one of the current ‘darling’ grapes of wine geeks and is also the first time we’ve ever offered a wine from Austria!
–Portuguese Douro Tinto, another first as we have never before offered a wine from Portugal, is very rich and very special and like no other red wine you’ve had before.
This is one of the most unique line ups we’ve had in recent years and I urge you to try all five of these wines. They are limited so we may never see these styles again. For complete details and descriptions please click here.
Althought the Limited Edition wines are only available for a about a month each year- they will all be in Wine Sense’s top 10 selling wines of the year! It’s best to pre-order them.
If you would like to get a sneak preview of these 5 unique wines we still have tickets left for our Wednesday November 17th Tasting event in Winnipeg (all other nights are sold out). Talk to your Wine Sense staff for details.
Cheers,
Craig, Wine Sense
