The finish is long and fruit-filled, with the perfect amount of toasty oak. This off dry wine is perfect for enjoying right away, delicious with robust foods and excellent all on its own.

Bold, yet elegant. This Yakima Valley Merlot is big and full with up-front waves of raspberry, blackberry and plum. Subtle notes of cedar and mocha follow the fruit. Over time, the flavours harmonize while the select oak contributes a tempering vanilla note and establishes a sumptuous combination of textures and well defined structure. Dark, rich and intense, it is a wine worthy of aging; will continue to improve for at least 2 years in the bottle.

The Sonoma Coast is California’s “hottest” Pinot Noir region because it is California’s coolest temperature wine region where soils are generally demanding with high rock, gravel and clay content. These conditions result in low crop yields and wines which are concentrated, complex and elegant with ageing and attracting a rush of new plantings within the region. The Bella Sonoma Vineyard in the south-west part of the region. This bright ruby-hued wine is medium-bodied with classic aromatics dominated by bright cherry, fresh raspberry, elegant spice and subtle notes from medium toast Hungarian oak introduced post-fermentation. The palate shows more cherry, a suggestion of black fruits and licorice with a balance of vibrant coastal acidity and fine tannins. Sensory refinement and elegance will begin to develop after 12 months and should continue through the third or forth years of cellaring to become a very special Pinot.

This Shiraz from South Africa’s Stellenbosch region continues to gain international recognition for its distinctive new style. It may best be described as having Rhône-style backbone but with heady, New-World, up-front fruit. It is however more refined than many Australian “fruit bombs”. Fermentation on a Crushed Grape Pack of Stellenbosch Shiraz grapes ensures that the wine shows heightened layers of blackberry, boysenberry, fig, and plum, followed by notes of cocoa, chocolate, and coffee. Two-stage oak treatment, using French and Hungarian oaks, contributes vanilla and toast while harmonizing the many flavours within the wine. The wine will begin to show its potential after 6 months ageing and should continue to develop for at least 2 years.

Best described as a ‘Super Cabernet’, this is a dark, rich wine, with wonderfully concentrated flavours of juicy blackberry and blackcurrant, with smooth, gripping tannins and an elegant structure leading to a magnificent, boldly oaked finish. With intense fruit-forward character, this wine drinks well immediately and it will fully round out in only three months, delivering intense fruit and richness. Great with Dark Chocolate!

Italian Brunello is bold, yet supple, the big, smoky-earthy nose of ultra-ripe cherry and currant-like fruit gives way to a hint of tar and cracked black pepper, cedar, whiffs of liquorice, leather, and also plums and black cherries, followed by a richly tannic, long, long finish. It’s firm backbone of acids and tannins make it work well with rich and spicy foods like Italian sausages or lasagna as well as hard cheeses such as Asiago and Pecorino Romano.

Selection International Grapeskins Spanish Tempranillo shows the black cherry, raspberry, plum and tobacco notes of the varietal, but the wine tends towards lushness and an overflowing of soft, ripe tannins, rather than bright fruit. Vanilla and spice notes in the oak give way to a beguiling hint of dark coffee on the finish. Medium-to-full bodied, it will drink well under three months, and will soften impressively after six months to a year in the bottle.

Selection International Grapeskins Italian Nero d’Avola is a deep garnet, and shows ripe, berrylike fruit aromas lent complexity by hints of toast and smoke. The palate features flavours of fresh blackberries, dark chocolate, and a little bit of anise. There’s sufficient acidity to give it structure, but the overall impression is soft as velvet. The finish is long and smooth, with ripe and appealing fruit and surprising complexity in the nose.

Selection International Grapeskins Chilean Malbec-Shiraz displays a balance between ripeness and power, with intensely rich Shiraz grapes for a bold ruby purple colour, deep, dark plum and blackberry aromas showing subtle accents of chocolate. Malbec brings plum, blackcurrant and violet aromas leading to a slight touch of leather notes. Full-bodied and classically, the gripping tannins linger to an elegant finish of toasty oak and spice. Try it with bittersweet chocolate!—this wine is great with food or on it's own, and will age gorgeously.

Italian Amarone is an intense, complex wine, with a wide array of flavours and aromas. This heavyweight exudes aromas of sour cherries, dark chocolate, stewed plums, dried fruits, anise, raisins, bitter almond, tobacco, leather and molasses, and has a spicy-earthy bittersweet finish that goes on and on, from the huge volume of tannins. Pair with grilled beef, strong dry cheeses (Parmigiano Reggiano or Asiago), pasta with meat-based tomato sauces, antipasto, veal or roast pork.

Super-Tuscan styled wine vinted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese and other native Italian varieties. Fermented on Yakima crushed Merlot grapes. A big, full-bodied wine with solid structure and bold fruit notes. Complex cassis, plum and cherry notes balance the bold tannins. French and American oaks contribute toasty vanilla and greater depth in this intense wine. Like all Crushed Grape Pack wines, a minimum of 6 months aging is required to begin to see harmony develop. A year is better and 2 years yields a very special wine for your enjoyment.
