Known in Italy as the ‘King of Wines’ and the ‘Wine of Kings’ Barolo originates in the Piedmont region of northern Italy and is made from the Nebbiolo grape. Although they tend to be lightly coloured Barolos are rich, deeply concentrated full-bodied wines with pronounced tannins and acidity.
