Making Multiples? Then Make Notes!
Making more than one wine kit at a time?
Here’s a hint from someone who makes 3-4 kits at a time.
Use a permanent marker to identify the add-packs for each wine. Mark the add pack and F pack with the name of the kit that they belong to.
You will also want to mark your pail and carboy with the kit/style as well so you match the right add-pack to the right carboy.
A Wine Sense Wine Log is the best way to identify your Pails and Carboys- there’s a place to mark the wine’s brand, style and production code along with your dates and hydrometer readings. It also has all of Wine Sense’s contact information in case you wish to contact us with any questions.
Again, a permanent marker and tape (duct tape if you’re a Red Green fan) works just fine too. The important thing is to identify everything.
Don’t trust your memory… there’s nothing worse than staring at multiple carboys and trying to guess which pack goes in which wine!
Cheers,
Bruce, Manager (Wine Sense- Pembina Hwy)
